It was not a crash and only a trace in log, i add the apport-collect if
that's can help you but i have try to find the origin and the only info
i have are to be in xorg cat. But the system have not added the process
for this one...

Is there a fix planned for the bug I mentioned above? (wacom.fdi file
still failing to identify some tablets as such). Not a big deal if

I regret not testing these changes more. They seem to increase hard lockups
for 3D activity considerably. After updating the drivers and dri to the
versions supplied by an independent ppa utilizing an updated driver from
upstream, no lockups occur anymore. The ppa comes from here:

Ronan, the problem you're talking about in post #8 isn't that the .fdi
file fails to identify the tablet - it does identify them, it's just
that it now uses longer (=more precise) identifiers, which wacomcpl
hasn't yet been patch to accept. The old identifiers
(stylus/eraser/etc...) were the same

I've Karmic installed on my desktop and today, when updating, I got a new Fglrx
driver which is more recent than the one on ATI website. I installed it and
restarted my computer but the problem isn't solved yet. So I wonder, Sergey

This behavior has affected a Jaunty machine.
It has an ATI card with the Open-source drivers.
Compiz is activated, and Unredirect Windows is unticked.
The symptoms described in the bug report are exactly what happens.

this (it's a bit messy, since there are many ways to do it and not all will
work in all situations). My favourite way is to do

Could you try to get a full backtrace? There is some explanation for how to do
this (it's a bit messy, since there are many ways to do it and not all will
work in all situations). My favourite way is to do
sudo /etc/init.d/gdm stop
