I cannot believe this is low priority. The intel chipset is fairly
common and a lot of people are having issues with Xrandr and the intel
driver. Please look at bug 465318:

I confirm the issue. I am using Ubuntu 9.04 and my layout is switched by
Ctrl+Shift. When I try to reopen the last closed tab in Firefox using
the Ctrl+Shift+T hotkey all I get is switching languages and opening new
tab (like via Ctrl+T).

pitti, yes these crashes can be ignored when GLX is missing. Certainly
it's an issue that glxgears isn't checking for GLX, but this is an
uncommon corner case, and glxgears is sort of just a test program
anyway, so this isn't a priority to get fixed. We can just ignore these
crashes.

Experienced the same issue on an older radeon card (radeon 8500)
following an automated update of xserver-xorg-video-radeon (update
manager suggestion). Solved the issue by adding some sections to the

Have somebody tried out the latest kernel (2.6.33-rc1)? If yes, could
