Unfortunately it seems this bug is still an issue. Can you confirm this issue exists with the most recent Lucid Lynx 10.04 release - http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/lucid/alpha-2/. If the issue remains in Lucid, please test the latest 2.6.32 upstream kernel build -

@legolas558, you should just acknowledge the fact that although this is a single ticket, it's almost certain that not everybody here is actually suffering from the same bug. So, please stop acting like that was the case. @cruncher, great find. Thank you. -- Keyboard keys get stuck and repeat

backtrace resembles that for bug 509468, which has the log files. I can't reliably trigger the bug, though, and trying to do so under Lucid is not practical for me at this time. If Ubuntu makes reporting bugs in a way they will accept harder than switching to another distribution, guess what will

I verified that the crash/freeze occurs also when Gnome-Do is not running. I initially suspected it could be the cause since the symptom appeared shortly after I started using Gnome-Do, but today it happened without it. Also, this also happens when the computer is not idle for an extended time.

Geir, I'm unsure if this is a crash or a freeze. The https://wiki.ubuntu.com/X/Troubleshooting/Freeze page is confusing: It claims that a backtrace is a non-symptom, but lists [mi] EQ overflowing and X freeze as a relevant problem. In this case I'm getting both a backtrace and [mi] EQ
