I don't think this will get addressed as the driver is proprietary and
this kind of behavior may depend on hardware configuration. We need to
focus on addressable bugs in the end game.

I am terribly sorry but my machine has died. I will try to see if I
can extract the log file from the hard drive. It was an old machine...
and the bug was related to an upgrade.

Intel graphics controllers, such as the 954GME, the display colours
change and become very strange. The workaround is simply to switch to
another tty and back, for example:
