The automatic script seems to be on crack since the bug is entitled
"Lucid...".
Also, I got as far as logging in with apport-collect but it asked if I
would let it "Change anything" on my behalf and, not having the time to
guess what it will do, I chose not to give it that right.

I missed this originally, just went and read about it. If my
understanding is right this one only happens when
Jaakko, you'll need to pass gcc the path to the openCL headers.
Try with the following command (which works here):
gcc opencltest.c -o opencltest -I/usr/include/nvidia-current/
Even if I moved the headers into /usr/include/CL you would still have to
pass "-I/usr/include/CL" to gcc.

I've just done a quick test on maverick, and it seems to be fixed.
$ apt-cache policy xserver-xorg-input-evdev
xserver-xorg-input-evdev:
Installed: 1:2.3.2-5ubuntu1
Candidate: 1:2.3.2-5ubuntu1
Version table:
*** 1:2.3.2-5ubuntu1 0
500 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ maverick/main
It's now A-Okay!! Keep up the good work. It's also working in 10.04

Your xorg.conf looks like it wasn't generated by aticonfig. Try if
