I upgraded to lucid (switched back to 32bits) and compiz stop crashing (tested

I have two computers running maverick with the same problem. Xserver-
xorg won't update and Synaptics produces this message:

Well I just reporting another freeze (two in a row! :( ). Both times I
was not using my soundcard. I had been using an externel display,
keyboard and mouse when this happened.
I will also note that I am using a patched kernel from the above thread.

It would not be a bug in the plymouth theme. It may be a bug in
plymouth itself, but this will need a lot more debugging to be able to

The solution in #10 did not work on my t400s. I added the xorg input
configuration in both /usr/lib/X11/xorg.conf.d and in

I created a quick bash script using the solution to #5 and have it run

The crash does indeed still occur with Lucid.
I have attached an updated backtrace with the latest Wine git. I added
the -dbg package for the graphics drivers too but they don't seem to
have made any difference.

I am testing Maverick Meerkat.
After today upgrades and reboot, the screen remained blank during the
whole boot process and after that no any gdm or xorg activity was seen.
My monitor is continuously scanning the analog and digital inputs.
