The only thing wrong (as far as I remember, because I fixed the issue
for myself locally) is that the slash-backslash bug is related not only
to the bel latin layout, but rather to the basic template for the
belarusian layouts (i.e. to both latin and cyrillic).

I fixed this problem somehow, but I can't remember what I did. I should have
posted it - I'm very sorry I forgot.
I've performed several updates to Lucid as well as fresh installs of Lucid, and
didn't experience any problems.

update on this bug : I had to have my screen replaced by Dell because my screen
never got back to normal...
I'm now using Ubuntu 10.04, and everytime the screen is running out of power
the screen colors change to red only or green only. It gets back to normal
after rebooting. really scrary.

Maverick alpha 2 installs and boots correctly into X, initializing the
correct screen. Outside of X and during boot the screen is still
mangled, but this would be a different issue, I'd guess.

After upgrade , I am unable to see mouse cursor ( after login)
If I type sudo lshw -c display in terminal , I am able to get the
cursor.
