This gets multitouch working perfectly on the T4310 as well, though I
did manage to kill my pen's functionality through my own sheer stupidity
(messing around with xorg.conf.d is not a good idea, esp when you forget
to make backups).

For me, both trackpad and trackpoint are unresponsive for 5-10 seconds
after resume, as per the original bugreport
Additionally, on about half my resumes, the trackpoint (and associated
buttons) don't work at all, but the trackpad does. My usual workaround
for this is to sleep and resume the compu
When it comes to me, I could say "works for me". So the bug you want to
file is not about the problem I describe. I don't really know what
should I do here, so I simply unsubscribed.

I hit those bug as well (Core i7, SSD, P55, 8800GTX) -- but I don't
think it's related to the nVidia proprietary drivers: Even without those

Looking at the current upstream git tree for synaptics there's been a
lot of changes, but it doesn't look like this particular bug has been
fixed (near as I can tell anyway).
Nicolas' patch is tempting however I'm worried it would potentially
affect behavior for non-bugged hardware too.

SelectTapButton, to get that in I would suggest posting it to the xorg-
devel mailing list on freedesktop.org for review first.

Looks like this already got fixed a while back. Only difference is
instead of setting Device Enabled it sets Synaptics Off, which I assume
is sufficient else we'd have a lot more people complaining about broken
touchpads. ;-)

monitor. Strangely enough, when the system has booted up and is sitting
