nvidia cards completely in the BIOS, not for laptops like mine where the
intel card must always be active because there is no connection between

Unfortunately, I'm still seeing this issue in Oneric Beta 1.
Steps to reproduce:
1) log in to guest session
2) Enable Desktop Sharing
3) Open Remote Desktop Viewer
4) Open VNC connection to localhost:5900
You'll see the initial screen, and the mouse will move around, but no
screen updates are made

Graphical corruption then black screen using an ATI R

If I turn off the LCD display in my Dell Inspiron 910 and turn on the
external display set to 1024x768, I see an 800x600 display in the top
right of a 1024x768 display (see attached screenshot). I can move the
mouse outside the 800x600 area, but no windows show up.

three fingers at the same time does not double-click anymore. It worked

I could temporaryly solve the problem. I used nvidia-settings to save
the configuration into an xorg.conf and rebooted the system.
I get three (!) error reports, that the given configuration could not be
applied (indeed, it did!).
I tested if, on the fly changing of the configuration is possible
I don't know if their "bug-base" works as cool as launchpad's with an
url one can follow.
But... We might need more submitters.
I have had NO feedback on my last submission, and it's gotten the status
"Closed No submissions"...

I still get the problem on a Dell Optiplex 380 (as reported in May).
The freeze occurs with the latest Ubuntu Natty Linux kernel after gdm login
when Unity seems to start.
Once the freeze occurs, I reboot the machine until it doesn't freeze. Once I
get the desktop I can use it for a long time (a

the update from ppa:vanvugt/compiz

Apport is showing me this bug again and again. The gnome is now not
working. The window decorator is not working. There are no "activities"
and the top bar. I am getting only "File Edit .
I notice that when I use the latest FGLRX drivers from AMD (8.881), I
have to disable Tear Free Desktop in the AMD Catalyst Control Center and
enable Sync To VBlank at the CompizConfig Settings Manager.
Only then does my desktop run smooth.
