I think Sven is right in his assumption that the touchpad freeze is caused by
two syndaemon instances getting out of sync.
On my system I find consistent correlation between touchpad freezing and two
syndaemon instances running.
What puzzles me is why I don't always have two syndaemon instances

Can someone reopen this bug as it is a regression since 11.04.
The bug was fixed for 10.10 but came back in 11.04 and is still present in 11.10
The fix is easy: change Malayalam file name as it should be tied to
country code (India) instead of Language code.

It's still a problem in oneiric, happens every few days with an Intel Mobile 4
Series Chipset.
Running 'sudo service lightdm restart' fixes it by restarting the whole X
session, but it's not a convenient solution.

i am running 11.04 netbook lts and i am having this issue. with one
exception, i cannot bring up the right click context if i try to right
click/drag although i believe i could before any current updates.

time ago I had a need to connect my Acer Extensa 4220 laptop to a TV set
via S-Video. I could see options window and choose TV out on the
