a touchscreen. Whenever the touchscreen is active, several weird

For me the solution was to reduce swappiness to 10. I'have 8GB of ram,
after that no more freezes. Before xorg was eating about 4GB of ram and
only way to diagnose after freeze was to SSH to machine or reset.
Killing the xorg did nothing, also no crash logs nothing.

I've been running up-to-date stable for a few releases. Since a few days
my system freezes. Maybe it's been since installing and booting into
linux-image-3.2.0-24-generic, but I'm not sure.
When I leave, I exit X.org, drop into TTY1 and log out there.

I am also facing this freezing problem especially when I start FlightGear.
My Hardware is a new Asus P8Z77-V LX mother board with Intel I7 3770K CPU +
16GB Ram. + Built-in HD4000 GPU.
I am using freshly installed 64bit Ubuntu 12.04
I have to press the hardware reset to reboot my computer it free

Ok I looked it up. if that is the case it not working with all the 3.
kernels. 11.10, 12.04 and parted magic, might even be ubcd as well. haven't
tried it., new version of gparted .

now run kernel 3.3.6 and so far i've not experienced any freezes after
the upgrade.
