I had similar problem. I think, it has something to do with the kernel
upgrade. I do not have a real solution, but i do have a simple
workaround. It did work for me.
Just put lines below into the /etc/rc.local file as administrator
(before exit 0)
modprobe -r hid_logitech_dj

I also have same problem. I have Lenovo G570 also with sandy bridge. I even
cannot use computer normally because it crashes randomly. Is so bad that soon I

your applications, going to a virtual text console (e.g. Ctrl-Alt-F2)

So you need to go to a TTY _before_ the segfault. I have temporarily
removed the exit command from my fvwm menu to force myself to end X.org
the other way. In the virtual console I issue a 'killall xinit' command
and then I can restart X. You may have to replace xinit with whatever
started X.

The solution is to add a new entry to the startup applications (System
- Preferences - Startup Applications) with any name and the command
synclient TapButton3=2. This way, the option is set AFTER Unity is up,
the setting persists, and triple-tap-middle-click works again as it
used to do before
