Actually today when I was working on the second monitor, I keep getting
compiz crashes with the "intel_do_flush_locked failed: No space left on
device" message, triggered with Alt+tab switching... I don't know if
anything had changed
Same here. My DIY-System (i5, Asus P8Z77V-Pro) freezes completely, no mouse, no
keys, last bits of audio keep repeating. There is nothing relevant in the logs.
Replacing the Xorg-intel driver with fbdev fixes the problem.

I was experiencing the issue with Gimp 2.6. In particular, it would happen when
