While we're at it, can anyone update us on the status of this bug in
Precise? When I tested it on Quantal it was working exactly as intended
with no side-affects like this so I'm wondering if there are plans to
fix this soon? Since it seems like it didn't make it into the point.

This is caused by AMD's proprietary driver. There's nothing we can do

Hangs like this have been happeneing randomly for me, since the 12.04
release. Again, the hang is mostly screen freezes, except for mouse.
Sometimes, it locks the keyboard out, as well. And I have to use Sys-rq
to reboot.
Finally decided to report it. :)
I have attached the output from that
i have logitech m570 which has the same problem (approx. 1.5 yr since
purchase) - there are several utils that mitigate the problem on
windows, e. g. http://www.wincert.net/tips/hardware/2684-logitech-mouse-
double-click-issues. it would be nice to have such thing for linux as
well.

I just said I found the fix, but it appears that without modesetting the
intel driver sometimes doesn't load either, and fbdev appears instead.

Reverting back to 3.2.0-32 is a good work around.
