Just tried it. It no longer crashses the browser but the maps don't
update either so I can't move around or zoom past what is first loaded.
This may be an unrelated issue but thought it was worth mentioning.

this software better. This particular crash has already been reported
and is a duplicate of bug #1134112, so is being marked as such.
Therefore is is not tied to any window manager, even xterm crashes it

X11 segfaults on WM s
I started X11 with "xinit -- :1 -nolisten tcp" and executed "sudo -b synaptic"
three times.
Additionally to my password not being accepted the X11 also crashed because of
a segfault.
The log was the same.
