touchPAD disabling feature appears to re-enable itself when coming out

I upgraded to saucy yesterday, rebooted, and within 30 minutes of use, X hung
on me.
It seemed like it might be a regression of bug 1097315 which occurred during
raring, so I booted into a raring kernel. This bug report is occuring with the
raring kernel (3.8.0-21-generic)
These files were after dmesg instructed there might be more info in
'i915_error_state' with message like:

I'm seeing this on an Lenovo T420. I frequently see it when coming out
of hibernation (because my system is still swapping in).
I can "recover" by suspending to memory and then unresponding. At that
point the touchpad works again just fine without restarting X.

Hello,
on my Macbook Air 2,1, with nouveau driver from Ubuntu basic install,
screen regularly freeze during 1 to 3 seconds, I can not move mouse
cursor or click, nothing respond at all.

I forgot to say you I don't have this bug with the proprietary Nvidia

Thanks for the quick response. The PPA package build is going to start
in 10 hours and therefore I tried to rebuild the package for quantal by
myself. It stopped crashing, but it still doesn't work with dual-head. I
get only a black screen when trying dual-head. It works correctly w
Strange ... after switching to single screen config and then back to
dual-head, everything works correctly ...
I have to do this ritual after each reboot, so it seems the card isn't
correctly initialized when going directly into dual-head.
