The xkeyboard-config changes in 2.4.1 make XKB translate Shift-F10 into F10
with level one, while telling my that the Shift modifier got consumed.

This laptop was happily running 11.10 release but started to have
problem since upgrade to 12.04.
I have tried bot 32 and 64 release of both 12.04 and 13.04 - both behave the
same: any ACPI related operation hangs system. Those operations include:

I'd like to thank my younger self for helping me.
After an update, something went a little kaka and the previously
reported problem resurfaced.
All I had to do was follow my own previous post and after I re-installed
the linux-headers-XXX everything went back to normal.

Can you try the gl backend in real world usage? I expect it to fail as
well, as I think the failure mode here is the machine dying whilst
waiting up a scanline - and both the Xv and gl backends should trigger
that code. (Except in the case of fullscreen gl, which will go through
another path).

Roger, I added a bug link to our CVE database for this bug before
noticing that the CVE you have linked is actually for pam-pgsql and not
libxres. So, which are you trying to file a bug about? Something with
libxres or something with CVE-2013-0191?

I've been having the same problem. I thought it was my KVM at first, but
after some experimenting I found it's unrelated. I am able to recover
from the error, however.
