Notice how with Chromium/Chrome the corruption happens only on display

tab.

Tracking the RawRegion is going to be a perf nightmare, I think. Maybe
just track damage extents and hope for the best? Most of the time
rendering redraws either a full window or a tiny rectangle of it (cursor
movement vs scrolling).

Actually I also had the impression that the touchpad responds somehow slow.
I use a ASUS Zenbook UX31A and found this bug report by accident.
While everything else is configurable via gui settings the tap to click
response is just slow.

At least in my case, what happens is that .Xauthority is owned by root
after running startx (as root). A workaround:
sudo rm ~/.Xauthority
I am not sure to which extent this constitutes a bug, though.

I can reproduce this problem fairly regularly on a certain game inside
wine (and nowhere else) on my up-to-date Debian Sid box. If there's any
solution/patch to test and there's any benefit in testing it on a non-

The logs don't show any obvious issues. The only things I can think of
1) Create a new user to make sure your regular user's Unity settings are okay
2) Try xorg-edgers PPA to make sure it's not a problem that's already fixed
upstream

BUG SOLVED:
I tried x-org edgers and that fixed the bug.
These were the steps:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:xorg-edgers/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-video-ati
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
After restarting, the bug was fixed.
Thank you very much !
