I'm seeing this behavior too. I'm using Trusty Tahir on a 2014 Lenovo
X1 Carbon.
I tried compiling esrevinu's driver, but it requires automake-1.13 and I
couldn't figure out how to get that specific version.

Hello,
I have installed the latest image about a month ago. Since then there was
only one freeze, but not with the same signature as before, so I guess this
is not related to the video driver anymore. I am happily using my notebook
