mouse is too small basically *everywhere* except for when hovering over
the interior of some applications like terminal, firefox, and parts of

seems not to be connected to the mouse. The Keys are just locked, by
hitting them seperatly single time. They waiting to be used with
letters. When i click one more time on the Keys, they are unlocked.

This bug has "fixed itself", don't know exactly how. I just logged into
another account, that seemed to work perfectly. I then logged out of
that account and back into my main account and it too is now working
fine. For the moment.

I had the same problem and finally got it resolved by rebooting the
system.

sudo apt-get --purge --nvidia*
sudo apt-get install --reinstall xserver-xorg-video-nouveau
rebooted the computer logged and and used the 304.117 proprietary driver fromt
he settings software and
I was still having this bug on a fresh install of 14.04 (kernel
3.13.0-24-generic). Strangely, since setting i915.semaphores=1
(suggested at http://askubuntu.com/questions/50033/unity-gui-pauses-
freezes-for-less-than-a-few-seconds/ all the way back in 2011) I no

This error happend with ubuntu gnome 14.04this was the first
installation so it's not another installed Programms fault. I had to
manually install libqtgui4 because the installation process couldn't
install it.

The file is not provided in xkb-data 2.10.1-1ubuntu1 (ubuntu 14.04).
This breaks xkbcomp loading of custom keymap:

I have the same problem on old Dell 1525 laptop with an update to
Ubuntu 14.04 final release from 13.10.
I seem to have temporarily fixed the problem by doing the following:
Go to Security & Privacy - Un-check the ticked boxes under
Require my password when
'Waking from Suspend'
and
'Returning

Prologue: I did a fresh install of 14.04 and the install was pretty
rough with artifacts all over hdmi and needing to mouse over everything
in order to reveal an updated image. Kind of like scratching off gift
cards or lotto tickets, but with a screen. After a day or so everyt

It seems to me that problem is in nvidia/nouveau drivers. Switched to
Intel card and no lockups so far.
"The problem is clearly upstream of Ubuntu as it affects a number of
distros with that kernel/nVidia driver combo" - yep, seems so.
