Switching to the Guest
Same problem with Xubuntu 14.04 32bit on a Lenovo Thinkpad r500. I can`t
put the laptop to sleep using the function + sleep key. After closing
the lid and opening, the computer goes to a login screen, then goes
blank. I`m new to linux, so am having trouble following some of the
suggestions.

fine in Saucy with both radeon and fglrx. Now in Trusty only works with
fglrx. Using radeon driver gives heavy flickering (about 0,5s intervals)

Shows that 0 interrupt is the problem (if I understood well).

I saw the same thing on one of my desktop machine. Just a few different :
No remains of windows but sometimes a windows refuses to close then mouse
cursor slows down then, after some 10~12sec, all freezes. The dash usually

I don't understand why mlankhorst marked this won't fix when it's
still clearly an outstanding issue. Because qxl is also broken (and I
always has been in Ubuntu in my experience) this doesn't leave many/any?
options for running an Ubuntu virt under KVM.

Go drum up some support and nag https://launchpad.net/~mlankhorst to
actually fix it. He knows the fix, just will not commit time to it.
Get it passed around the heat built up (that is get people to mark it

It looks like proposed updates is among the dependencies for the Trusty
test driver; I think I'll have to wait until the driver will run without
