I also seem to have this bug on Ubuntu 12.04 since the upgrade to HWE
Trusty and on Lubuntu 14.04. I also see this bug if my Bluetooth mouse
is configured. As soon as I remove my Bluetooth mouse from the
configuration left key works agains with other USB mouses and the
touchpad.

Hi,
libgl1-mesa-dri doesn't provide 3D acceleration.

Preliminary solution:
xkb should be extended to be able to recognize a sequence of key presses
and key releases and fire action upon it. Again, this would be an
extension, not a violation of current standard.
Currently, the group switching is defined in
/usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols/group with parts like

I confirm that this still is an issue with ubuntu 14.04.
If I select RGBA for subpixel I get blurry fonts when the screen in

I can run further tests if needed.
All the best.

Allowing arbitrary sequences to decide which action to take would
certainly be powerful, but quite some effort, also for specification
(think about multiple matching sequences).
In comment #117 I suggested an extension to the specification that is
restricted to the enhancement request at hand.
Thank you, then we need to investigate which of the modifications caused
the regression.
