I suddenly started to experience this bug when I updated my NVIDIA
drivers from NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-331.79 to = 340. The only workaround
I've found is:
CCSM - Utility - Workarounds - Force complete redraw on initial damage -
check (not sure if this helps)

Since installing the Ubuntu 14.10 beta update, I see Google Chrome crash
on startup.
This happens about 1/3 of the time.
The issue doesn't exist with same Chrome version, on same hardware, in
Fedora 20 -- and did not exist prior to updating to Ubuntu 14.10 beta

It seems to me that this problem appears much more frequently with
Chrome, but I've had it also with Firefox. It's only been a couple of
weeks though, everything has always worked fine for me until a system
update two weeks ago. I have a Radeon HD 4350/4550.

After a cold boot today. Things looked relatively good for quite a while
(menus, youtube and glmark2). But while running glmark2 (for several
iterations):

Ok, so the same happens when running a glmark2 loop with a 3.13 kernel.

Utopic.

@Pieroxy - have you tried the proprietary AMD drivers instead? I'm fed
up with system hangs too, so if the proprietary drivers don't work
better I may even go back to ubuntu 12.04 where I didn't have these
problems. Too early to judge the proprietary driver though; I've only

I have a habit to use caps lock when I need a capital letter in my sentence,
but problem is that I changing Caps lock in Ubuntu is slow, so I end up with

nvidia-304 from proposed boots and runs on my test hardware (6150SE and
210). I can't comment on the problems reported earlier in this thread
since I haven't experienced any of them.
