This is very possible necromancy/a dublicate of Bug #360724.
Without any recognizeable pattern the cursor corrupts on the first of my
dual screen setup. Sometimes it is copped up vertically, sometimes the

Thanks for looking in to this - please note however that about 3 weeks
ago I noticed that the touchpad had got a lot better (I'd been using a
mouse since the issue). checking again today - it seems to be fine, so
not sure if a kernel update or other has fixed the issue.

Sorry, without thinking I ran the apport-collect on my desktop, not
