Hi Christopher,
I will try to test the bug using the latest development release, however it
could take a while as I'm traveling and since it's a suspend/resume issue I
don't think it's possible to reproduce it using an USB drive (my computer
doesn't have a DVD Drive) so I need to install it.

Sorry it took so long but I had to reinstall due to an unrelated
problem. The reinstall didn't make any difference to this problem
though. I also tested Windows 8 with dual screens, just to rule out the
monitor(s) and it worked fine in Windows 8.

There is a PLL frequency fix for your AMD RS880 graphics card in the
upstream 3.19 kernel which may help. Ubuntu 15.04 "Vivid Vervet" is now

Issue persists in Xubuntu 14.04; opening http://google.com/chrome/ in
either Chrome or Firefox triggers the bug. The issue can be worked
around by either disabling hardware acceleration in Chrome or switching
the acceleration method to UXA in Xorg.conf.

what exactly is happening to your desktop? This bug is symptomatic on
laptops with touchpads & nvidia graphics cards, USB mice seem to be the

Confirmed on HP ENVY 17 (J130EA) with 14.10 x64. VT switch workaround
does not work, nor any patches I've tried.
Also seems to be the case on my desktop (custom build, non-nVidia
graphics card, USB mouse and PS/2 keyboard).
