This is still happening for me after the recent 2:15.200-0ubuntu4.2
update.
I am now also getting a 'screen stays blank, keyboard isn't responded
to' crash every day or two when restarting the display after it times
out and powers off.

The llvmpipe software renderer is disabled in the mesa (libgl1-mesa-dri)
package for ppc64le, even though llvmpipe is fully supported on this
