I just tried the same monitor with out the docking station and the
screen never cut out. So it must something with the docking station.

keys of modules, which the nvidia driver obviously does not provide. Disabling
secure boot solved the problem for me, but completely disabling it just because
there is no signature for the nvidia driver seems to be a

For me it is 100% reproducible with LibreOffice, especially when one
quits LO uncleanly and then on the next run it opens a dialog asking
about file recovery. Whatever I click in that dialog, LibreOffice will
hang for a while and then the whole X session is restarted.
