Scratch that, forgot to autogen.sh first, did it earlier but did not
repeat after resolving the last dependency. So not it compiled, on to
testing.

Trying to implement the suggestion in #115, I've got the git repo from
xfce.org and applied the patch, did the configure which ends with:

is very stable (never happen in 16.04 so far). However, today I was
installing IBM SPSS 14-week trial version and x-org crashed. (The bug
report was sent automatically). X-org was crashing every time I tried to
install SPSS. Th
I don't have a 4K monitor, but the following steps fixed video tearing
with Kubuntu 16.04 on my Intel i7-2600k CPU with integrated Intel HD
3000 Graphics.
Edit /etc/environment and add the following lines:

KWIN_TRIPLE_BUFFER=0
KWIN_USE_BUFFER_AGE=0
Save the file and reboot.
