Indeed, I was thinking the same thing. If your Xmir debug log shows no
realization then the server is hung on something earlier than that (like
connecting to Mir maybe). Remember Xmir is heavily dependent on client
API callbacks for non-blocking-single-threaded behaviour.

What I have noticed is that when two screens are plugged in the graphic card,
and the desktop appears on both screen, and when I then choose to only use the
dvi-connected screen via the "display" menu in ubuntu, the vga-connected screen
goes off, and the dvi-connected screen only show the mouse

on my computer at all.
With the previous patch, the problem seemed to have been fixed, but
wasn't completely fixed as my computer couldn't be woken up when two
screens were used on my radeon card (it works so far with only

Ok, I suspect I have found the issue. Seems this hardware only supports
OpenGL 1.4 compatibility profile. Qt's EGL code is asking for at least
version 2.0, and so getting no valid context back.
Could you please install "mesa-utils" package and run "glxinfo". On the
