The problem always happens when I try to use the nvidia graphics card
using the command prime-select nvidia. When using prime-select intel it
works fine.

(in dconf the color spec is entered with double digits. See screenshot)

The XFCE4's maintainer claimed to have merged the patch for this bug here:
https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11107#c67 on 2016-08-12.
A new version of xfce-settings (4.12.1) has been released on 2016-09-15
so we can assume that the fix is integrated in the release.
