(Using firefox-mozilla-build, the issue was resolved as of version 46.)
No graphics updates whatsoever from 14.04 (xserver-xorg-video-intel
2:2.99.910-0ubuntu1) should be necessary.

1) Not sure, laptop came with dell version of ubuntu 14.04 LTS but i wiped it
on the second day, however i did not notice for those 2 days - maybe dell has a
patch ?

I have just upgraded from 16.04 to 16.10. The installation has dm-crypt
installed in the whole hard drive.
If I try to boot up the computer with kernel 4.8.0-26, most of the time
