Any app starts partially hidden behind the menu at the top of desktop. There is
no way to use the cloxe (x) minimize(-) or maximize (o) buttons. And the menu
(if used inside the window) is invisible too.
It is possible to drag down most of the apps, but the area to click
I solved it: I downgraded to 16.04.

It appears this would also affect numlock as well.
(and yes, it's a problem that's affecting me as well--which makes it
impossible to type stuff in Linux since I routinely use the caps lock
key for a lot of different scenarios).
