I installed today Ubuntu 18.04. I have a secondary monitor (Acer
AL1914), which does not provide a EDID, so I created one and usually
loaded directly from the kernel at startup.
The EDID is located here:
/lib/firmware/edid/al1914.bin
The kernel command line is this:
GRUB_CMD
I've also got an L322X - and am experiencing this same issue, touchpad
seems to lock up after some time, and is also impossible to click and
drag with.
I've just installed a fresh Bionic system onto my machine, and have the
latest updates. That did not seem to help.

I am also experiencing this bug with my Intuos4 M. When I connect the
tablet, one cursor remains where I last had the mouse, and another
appears where I put down the stylus. The one where the stylus is changes
appearance from arrow to "crosshairs" to disappearing depending on where
on screen it is

I've been running Ubuntu since the first release, and I have always removed
apport immediately after a clean install.
Now, I can't do that, because xorg+xserver-xorg seem to have hard-
depends on python3-apport.
