After booting Ubuntu in BIOS mode on my machine for years, I just
switched over to EFI boot. The reason for which I switched is that, on
this machine, Ubuntu cannot detect the integrated GPU under BIOS boot.
Ubuntu now recognizes both integrated and discrete GPU on my
