I got it fixed after upgrading from 18.04 to 19.04, but it was not
upgrading that solved it. The issue is still there in 19.04.
The solution for me was disabling secure boot, purging the nvidia
drivers and then reïnstalling them.
Apparently when secure boot is on, the nvidia-drivers do get

among them. I like to have a system with as recent softwares as possible (at
home I use debian testing) and see if
