(probably not, but it's possible that some touchpad drivers are just
bad. Note that the first one affects every input device, including any
mouse you're using. Inputs stop working so often that I have a hotkey to
disable/enable them -

For comparison I then installed the old synaptics Xorg driver and
disabled hysteresis using 'synclient'. It felt much better. So it seems
libinput's hysteresis radius is too big.
