yesterday I tried to compile the nvidia-304 on my bionic "business"
laptop, which does not work with nvidia-340 and suffers from some flaws
with nouveau.
I kept to your instructions as good as I could, but compiling failed.
Would you mind having a look at the log attached?

Thanks for your help.
I tested on ThinkPad laptop with wacom touch screen(056a:5222),
installed xserver-xorg-input-wacom 1:0.36.1-0ubuntu1.1, this issue is
fixed.

When using the combination of modesetting Xorg driver with Intel GVT-g
enabled, it was observed problems with brightness control.
While the brightness control still has functionality, it works with
significant delay for every change. Every change takes roughly half a
second,
OK, I've flipped it public. I had a browse through the attachments and
my untrained eye can't see anything glaringly secret, so have at it :-)

Accepted xf86-input-wacom into bionic-proposed. The package will build
now and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xf86-input-
wacom/1:0.36.1-0ubuntu1.1 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed
repository.
