Wayland apps fail to run with zwp_linux_dmabuf
It seems like I get this crash only when I am typing in VS Code. I
found this post in Stack Overflow which suggest disabling GPU
acceleration in VS Code. I've made this configuration change to VS Code
and so far no more crashes.
I believe it's a kernel problem. There are several of these reports:

I have a 4k dell monitor attached to a Dell XPS13 (2020). The connection is:
Computer -> Thunderbolt (USBC) Cable -> Caldigit Thunderbolt Hub ->
Thunderbolt-to-Displayport Cable -> Monitor.
Note: The Thunderbolt cable from the Caldigit hub is powered. I have a
keyboard,
I tested version '20.0.8-0ubuntu1~20.04.1' from 'focal-proposed' and it
fixes the issues I encountered with EGL and specifically
'es2gears_wayland'.

For all who used the workaround #61: The current update xserver-xorg-
video-amdgpu-hwe-18.04:amd64 19.0.1-1ubuntu1~18.04.1 19.1.0-1~18.04.1
overwrites the file /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/amdgpu_drv.so (file
date May 21 09:16) and the bug returns again.
It is one step forward one step back ...
