So, I installed Ubuntu 20.04 on my laptop with Ryzen 7 4800h processor and
Nvidia gtx 1650 graphic card..
But i wasn't able to make my external monitor work..
At first it wasn't even recognized, but after I updated kernel to version 5.7.1

Upgraded from 18.04 LTS with no additional drivers to 20.04 LTS
updated until 1-Oct-2020.
This bug seems to prevent correct results from e.g. mkusb
Googled for various solutions, none of which worked.
No HW changes since previous versions, back to (IIRC) 12.04
none of which showed this problem
