ah, yes. it was my mistake, I initially create the debdiff without
caution, I'll re-upload the the debdiff for bionic, can you help to
switch the deb in bionic queue for me?

Leaks in the Xorg process are usually the fault of applications. Because
application resources exist in the Xorg process and are allowed to
outlive the application itself.
One known cause I can think of is LibreOffice. So please try logging out
and in again and never starting LibreOffice. If that
I just noticed your AMD GPU is a "Renoir" which isn't fully supported
until kernel 5.5, and you have kernel 5.4. So it might be useful to try
a newer kernel. Please try:
sudo apt install linux-generic-hwe-20.04-edge
and then reboot.

I built and installed the module as per the instructions in the branch
you linked me to and `journalctl -k|grep amd_gpio` showed nothing. No
new printouts in the kernel log. So I recompiled the module again with
the pr_alert() statement you printed above and still nothing.
