The zoom of my notebook monitor is set to 125%. After pressing F11 to
enter the full screen state most of the time, when sliding up / down

It appears the vc4 kernel driver (Broadcom GPU) is crashing a lot in
HDMI functions. We should treat this as a duplicate of bug 1944397 until
proven otherwise.

That's correct, 'nomodeset' disables the graphics driver so things will
stop working.
Please remove 'nomodeset' and then open a new bug about whatever the
original problem was.
