I run Nvidia, ubuntu 10.04, and twinview. I originally saw this under kubuntu when I upgraded in Claws. I quickly switched to Gnome which fixed that problem, but then I saw it in gvim - not always, but most of the time. I haven't had any problem with OpenOffice. I fixed it by set ttyscroll=0 in my
