I experience the same problem if I disable the touchpad using Xinput
using this script:

I can confirm this bug on Kubuntu 11.04 64-bit, upgraded from Kubuntu
10.10.
The proposed untested patch has solved the problem with the warning dialog:

I don't know where the empty string session comes from, though, which
seems to be the actual problem.

Indeed, regardless of the fix for Bug #544590 the problem still occurs
on my machine from time to time.
