I was waiting for this bug report, as i'm experiencing the issue myself
and haven't had the chance to look a previous report or make a new one.

Sure Mike, i've should have said Jaunty's reporters.
(the kernel patch applies to 2.6.28 series and the xorg one to the 2.6.3

[i965] X freezes starting on April 3rd
Jithin, Wirechief. without your help debugging and testing workarounds
and hacks for solving this issue we weren't where we are now, i mean at
the very first appearence of this bug, 4-5 freezes per day was standard
now we're about several weeks without freezes.
