Public bug reported: Not sure if this is the right package to request against however upon install of 12.10 today, in the "Displays" setting manager there is no option for the resolution of 2560x1440 which is the resolution my mac uses (using 2560x1600 leaves black borders).
To workaround the issue I did the following.. > xrandr --newmode "2560x1440_60.00" 311.83 2560 2744 3024 3488 1440 1441 > 1444 1490 -HSync +Vsync > xrandr --addmode Virtual1 "2560x1440_60.00" At which point I could then select the resolution from Displays. My computer is an iMac 27" Mid 2011 edition. ** Affects: xrandr (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xrandr in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1056703 Title: Please include iMac display resolution by default in 12.10 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xrandr/+bug/1056703/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
