I'm currently using the wacom-dkms package from the 'irie/wacom' PPA,
and it appears that ONLY finger-touch-based input manipulates the cursor
and nothing else (such as the pen).

The device is powered when plugged in, but doesn't manipulate the mouse
cursor or anything. Even tried the workaround of jumping between virtual
terminals (Ctrl+Alt+F1, and back to Ctrl+Alt+F7) to no avail.
