Public bug reported:
I am unable to pass the -v option to an application I want to run in an
xterm window. For example
$ xterm -e bash -v
XTerm(271)
$
This returns the version of xterm when I expected it to open an xterm
window that would run then run the 'bash' with the -v option.
$ lsb_release -a
No LSB modules are available.
Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
Release: 12.04
Codename: precise
It looks like I have the most up to date package for my release according
to http://packages.ubuntu.com/precise/xterm.
