This is not fixed!!!
I've been having this issue since I got my Dell Latitude E7470 Ultrabook.
I have Ubuntu 18.04.4 installed and with each new version of Ubuntu I hoped 
this will be fixed. It's not!
My installation doesn't even use synaptics, it's using libinput so, #32 doesn't 
bring anything new.
I want to mention that the exact same thing is happening even if I use a 
wireless mouse. And it isn't that the cursor jumps to the bottom left hand side 
of the screen but it sticks there for quite a few seconds until I manage to 
pull it back up. 
WTH is this issue and why can't anyone figure it out?

Please help! I am sick of this thing!
