I ran Lucid alpha/daily installs since about January IIRC, and am 99% sure that the flicker problem first occurred with kernel image 2.6.32-16 (http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=8942276&postcount=9). It's possible that the problem has been fixed upstream in 2.6.34 (or .33 even), but if you're
