Steps to reproduce:
1) start a youtube video and go to youtube fullscreen mode.
2) pause the video
3) wait until screensaver appears
4) input your password to unlock the screen.
5) The screen is now unresponsive. The mouse arrow moves, and Ctrl-Alt-F1
works, but otherwise
No, I didn't do any related action or such, just found the dialog box on
the screen once.
I mean, the touch interface still hangs at times, but if that's related
to this bug I don't know.

I'm not certain xorg is to blame for this, but I needed some place to

When booting 2.6.32-12, most of the times, no ubuntu splash screen is
shown. A (movable) mouse pointer shows up after a while, and a small
line (cursor) in the upper left corner. I then switch to a VT with Ctrl-
Alt-F1 (and reported this bug). If I after that switch back with Ctrl-
Alt-F7, the gdm

You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X,
On Karmic beta liveCD, the bug is not present, there I can successfully
switch to a VT with Ctrl-Alt-F1. So this nails it down to three cases:
1) There is a difference between beta and present
2) There is a difference between liveCD and permanent installation
3) We have all unknowingly changed
I'm going to switch package on this one. I have done some more testing
and found that:
- both fglrx and video-ati drivers show this problem
- however, when I boot kernel 2.6.31-11 the problem is gone!
- both kernel 2.6.31-12 and 2.6.31-13 have the bug present
